Today, 22nd January marks the 10th anniversary of Icelandair Cargo.

To emphasize the importance of the cargo operation within Icelandair, the subsidiary Icelandair Cargo was established in the beginning of 2000. Furthermore, its expanding cargo operation required the opening of a new warehouse at Keflavik Airport in 2001. The same year its subsidiary, Icelandair Logistics in Liege, Belgium, was founded.

In the beginning Icelandair Cargo had 1 Boeing 757 freighter in operation but today the fleet consists of 5 Boeing 757 freighters.

The freighters service the market to/from and via Iceland and are also on lease to TNT to serve on their network across Europe.

Icelandair Cargo is an international company with its headquarters in Reykjavik, an office at Keflavik airport and operation in New York.
